Congratulations to Bailey, age 11, from St. Agatha School, and Tori, age 13, from Whitnall Middle School! With over 1,300 designs submitted and more than THREE MILLION votes cast, their two designs have been chosen to be featured on next year’s Jump Rope For Heart & Hoops For Heart t-shirts!

The 2012-2013 Jump Rope For Heart T-Shirt Design is “Be A Hero” by Bailey, age 11, from St. Agatha School. Here’s what Bailey had to say about her winning design: “I love to draw, so when my teacher asked me I said sure! I wanted to do something different so I Googled the word heart and found lots of different images. There are people in my family who are dealing with heart problems and last year my school Jumped in honor of a friend of our family who got a heart transplant. So I know how important it is to keep a healthy heart!”
The 2012-2013 Hoops For Heart T-Shirt Design is “3 Point Shot!” by Tori, age 13, from Whitnall Middle School. Here’s what Tori had to say about her winning design: “The American Heart Association is a great program that helps thousands of heart disease patients each year and I’m happy to help them out. Drawing is one of the many things I like to do in my free time. This drawing meant a lot to me considering the fact that my Grandpa Dave, who I never got the chance to meet and get to know, suffered from heart disease as well.”
